Woman, mother, artist, writer, friend, liberal political activist, dog and animal lover, crazy about little kids, think people are mostly fascinating and good. What breaks my heart? Domestic violence, child abuse, exploitation of women and children around the world, cruel behavior towards each other, intolerance, racism, bigotry, misogyny, violence, evilness, untreated mental or physical illness.

On Gather, I'm Looking For ...:
At first it was just validation for my writing efforts... but now I love to give it too! And although I never thought it would happen to me... after all who gets into social networks who has a real life I told myself... I really care about my Gather friends.
I feel like I have found the modern equivalent of pen pals. We can be really honest with each other and bare it all emotionally, spiritually or whatever moves us that day. We can create some fantasy and people are actually interested in each others' imaginations. This is SO rare in life.
The feedback is mostly positive (how often can we depend on that in our non-Gather lives?) and when it isn't? Defenders come to the fore and show us that we are never really isolated or alone on this site.
